Cesare is an emerging painter whose artistic journey began as an act of rebellion against the constraints of a traditional, practical upbringing. While his early life was guided by academic and corporate necessity—culminating in over 25 years in the technology industry after earning degrees from UCLA and USC—his true calling was always painting.
That long-held yearning for creative expression, often characterized by distorted figures and jarring colors, is rooted in a desire to push past mundane reality. He found a profound alignment with German Expressionism, an aesthetic perfectly suited to his form of expression and resonating with the works of avant-garde masters like Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, and Wassily Kandinsky.
Since dedicating himself to painting in 2017, Cesare has cultivated a self-taught practice that moves fluidly between representational and non-representational forms. Working primarily in acrylic and oil on canvas and boards, he strives to channel the emotional complexities of life’s experiences and scenery into a sense of liberation on the canvas.
